The only other place we've ever seen triple trailers is on Interstate #84. They're legal between Boise Idaho and Portland Oregon. Leave it to the audacious Aussies to allow them on two-lane dirt roads, albeit it in deserted out-there locations.
We saw quite a few Australian road trains, or what we'd call triple trailers. We've seen them in the remote regions - the Outback - on previous trips as well.
